The space

Every inch of the hut is locally handcrafted, using a mixture of reclaimed materials and based on a traditional solid oak chassis. The spacious hut is fully appointed with shower room, flush toilet, a king-sized bed and wood-burning stove. The kitchen is fitted with high spec appliances including double gas hob, electric oven and fridge with freezer compartment.  Designed and built with active guests in mind, the interior space is tall and open and there is plenty of storage space for your gear and food.

The site

 

Outside, the raised deck is a great place to relax with a drink or you can just settle under any of the old oaks with a blanket and a book. The nearby former pigsty with firepit and grill gives you extra outdoor comfort in even the harshest weather. You'll find it cosy and peaceful under the clear dark skies, any time of year. You will have the woods to yourself shared only with the local wildlife and the occasional visit from our wandering chickens and ducks.

 

Parking is provided next to the house and a short walk takes you to the hut.  There is a barrow to help with luggage should you need it and don't forget to check for eggs for breakfast on your way past, just help yourself from the hen house.

Please note, we are dog lovers but for the benefit of our dog, our stock, and our wildlife, we don't allow visitors dogs to stay at the hut.
