Darg Wood has been part of our home in Hexhamshire since December 2014.  We fell in love with the open spaces, the quiet nights and the wildlife living right up to our doorstep.  We (Mark and Beth) have 2 children, 2 horses, a dog, and we keep chickens, ducks and pigs.

We decided to open up Darg Wood to share with visitors in 2021; a time when a connection with open, natural spaces became so important to many people.  Our vision is to offer a space away from the world, in full comfort, and surrounded by natural beauty.

We met local hut builders Northumberland Hut Co. and were so impressed with their craftsmanship and attention to detail that we knew they were the right choice for our build.  The layout, materials and character are made uniquely for Darg Wood and from the day it arrived it has looked like it has surely always been here.

We have had wonderful visitors who seem to connect with Darg Wood in each their own way.  We have had many thoughtful and generous reviews on Airbnb which make us very happy.
